Born and raised in Mendocino, I am a Northern California native. I was always an artist, and from the first time that I played with Aldus Superpaint in the early 90’s, the computer became one of my main tools for creative expression.

I studied at UC Santa Cruz and San Jose State University, where I graduated in 2004 with a BA in graphic design. After graduating, I was hired at Explore Creative, a small design shop in Sonoma, California. I had a very exciting year learning the ins and outs of the industry and really getting my first professional experience.

In early 2007 I decided I wanted to see what it was like to work for a larger company, so I put in my notice at Explore, and took a contract position as a visual and interaction designer with Wells Fargo’s Customer Experience Group. In October of 2011 I switched positions within Wells to my current role of marketing art director, managing a team of creatives in the Online Sales and Marketing group.

I also think that design can be a very powerful force for influencing people, and solving problems, and a lot of organizations that support good causes can benefit greatly from it. You’ll notice there are a lot of non-profit clients represented in this portfolio. They are the majority of my freelance clients, and I intend to continue to support them through design.
